ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

ROBOTICS

Robotic Surgery represents the medical industry’s principal goal to make surgery less invasive and safer.

Since robots can operate through tiny incisions, it means easier, precise surgery and faster recoveries.

Our team is expert at operating robotics, and we are committed to using the best surgical practices.

HISTOSONICS

HistoSonics is an exciting technological breakthrough that gives surgeons the ability to destroy cancerous liver cells through ultrasonic waves and targeting.

HistoSonics is the forefront of liver cancer treatment, and is completely non-invasive.

Few practices offer HistoSonic therapy, and we are proud to be among them. Once cancerous cells are liquified, that harmless liquid is absorbed by the body.

Canyon Surgical Associates is proud to be the first physicians in the state of Utah to offer this groundbreaking technology.
Histotripsy is an outpatient procedure performed at St. Marks Hospital

HEPATIC ARTERY
INFUSION PUMP

Hepatic Artery Infusion (HAI) therapy is a powerful treatment for colorectal or bile duct cancer that has spread to the liver.

Traditional systemic chemotherapy is usually delivered through a vein, requiring the drug to travel through the body’s bloodstream to reach the liver.
Only a small portion of the chemotherapy ultimately reaches tumors in the liver.

With HAI therapy, the drug is delivered to the liver using the Intera 3000 HAI Pump, which is implanted just below the skin in the abdomen. This precise, localized delivery provides up to 400 times higher drug concentration to the tumors compared to systemic chemotherapy.

The drug is administered through the hepatic artery directly to the tumors in the liver, limiting potential side effects elsewhere.
